Taking Pause

Sometimes we need a break from being and doing so that we can take into our spirit the nourishing qualities all around. Life reminds us of the need to slow down whether it is through stress, tragedy, or chronic pain. My babies have always reminded me that I need to do that and I can happily say I’ve fully absorbed my every day because of it. Experiencing chronic pain reminds me to do that as well; my body beckoning me to sit or stretch, walk or rest. To take a break, to park ourselves and our mind in this very moment. Especially in this day of chaos and loss, allowing pause and contemplating what is truly important. Pausing also gives us the chance to accept life, not meeting it with resistance which causes more suffering. What in your life is reminding you to pause? Even if it’s to close your eyes for a moment in gratitude. Maybe try doing that for yourself today.
